The BVS AC is a club of individuals from all walks of life and all levels of knowledge that have united to share the joy, wonder, and science of Astronomy among themselves and with the general public. Our goal is to facilitate the appreciation, enjoyment, and participation in all aspects of astronomy within Bear Valley Springs and to be an educational resource to BVS residents in astronomy and science in general.
Guiding Principles:
The study and enjoyment of astronomy and science, in general, contributes to the progress of our society.
Increasing the understanding and appreciation of all of Bear Valley's Natural Resources is the best way to preserve and protect them.
Our night sky is a threatened Natural Resource that must be preserved by disseminating a greater understanding and awareness of the harm caused by unnecessary lighting.
