The BVS AC holds meetings on the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm at the BVS Oak Tree Banquet Room. Numerous guest speakers are planned to be featured in 2023. All are welcome!
Public Star Parties are generally the Saturday closest to first quarter moon, held at the Cub Lake basketball court.
Club Member Dark Sky Star Parties are generally held the Saturday closest to new moon. Check the BVS AC Facebook page (Bear Valley Springs Astronomy Club) and this web site's calendar for updates.
The BVS AC holds one or two "telescope clinics" annually, so that folks who have telescopes but haven't been able to use them, can. We have been quite successful at diagnosing and fixing "sick" telescopes, and teaching owners how to use their instruments.
One or more field trips are planned annually. In 2022, we had a fantastic tour of Mt Wilson Observatory.
